12991 km’s genre is teen romance. Romana, who lives in Hong Kong, and Bhawat, who lives in New York, falls in love, overcoming the long distance between them. The actual distance between Hong Kong and New York is 12991 km, which I decided to make it the title of my movie. The title, the distance between the two characters, is written vertically between them to denote a wall/obstacle of their relationship. Half of the plane is in Hong Kong and the other half is in New York, indicating that flight is the only way to link the two characters.
